You might ask, seeing the flurry of publications going up this month. The answer: yes and no.
I have some short stories under contract with an exciting new publication. There’s also a novella (or more) and two novels (a duology!) in revisions. The erotic publishing market is contracting right now (what good thing isn’t these days?) but I’m continuing to write and submit* and I also have a list of pieces I plan to reprint to make them more available soon.
As for that flurry of updates posted on this blog and shared on social media: as part of my new website, I’m reorganizing how I share my published stories. Without getting technical – I don’t have the tech chops for it, anyway – my writing used to have a portfolio-type page that was unique to my old WordPress theme. When I changed themes to one with more current support, I switched to featuring my writing in posts on this blog (just under the Category “Story” instead of “Blog Post”).
I’m manually migrating everything over with my best friend Copy + Paste. It takes time, but it allows me to re-evaluate my body of work and how I’ve been sharing it.
Part of that sharing is to tell people about my writing! Many of you readers found me long after some of the older stories were published, and even though I’m including more tags to make this blog easy to navigate, I don’t expect anyone to dig years into the archives. Scheduling fresh posts for stories gives us all a second chance. (By the way, I’ve got a tag going for second chance romance and look forward to filling it over time. I also have a first time tag. And a tag for threesomes.)
*submit my writing. Look, it always feels slightly weird to use that verb, that’s probably my most rigid alpha dom trait.
