In addition to romance, erotic fiction, and queer fiction, I also write poems. They’re usually about different kinds of longing – grief, lust, nostalgia, love of nature, and often how these desires intertwine.
My published poems include:
“Poltergeist Hopes” in Death Rattle Literary’s Hallowzine 2
“From Summerland” in Strange Horizons
(a blog post about the inspiration and sources behind this poem)
“Three Years After” in All Poems Are Ghosts from Tiny Wren Lit

“By Sail and By Steam” in Litro
(a blog post about the background to this prose poem)
“I wish you were as bad for my/bedsheets…” in the lickety~split
“Stiff-Necked in Respect Life Month” in Cliterature’s December 2017 issue (out of print)
I was on the longlist of the 2022 Penrose Prize for Excellence in Poetry from LGBTQIA+ Writers. (You can see the full list and read the 3 winning poems on the Death Rattle/Oroboro Lit Journal site.)

I talk about writing and reading poetry, including links to poems I’m enjoying, in the “poetry” tag on this blog.
